BATAAN YOUTH ORG VISITS RPL. The Abucay and Balanga City Chapter of the 4-H Club, a youth development organization, visited the Roosevelt Protected Landscape (RPL) in Dinalupihan, Bataan during a Lakbay-Aral activity organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) here.

With the theme “Roosevelt Protected Landscape: Paglalakbay at Pagtuklas," the guided tour inside the RPL brought into limelight the ecological significance of the area, its various flora and fauna and the efforts being made to protect its natural wealth.
 
A forum was also conducted, where technical personnel of the DENR-Community Environment and Natural Resources Office in Dinalupihan discussed ways on the proper handling and planting of tree seedlings. They likewise shared to the participants the value of RPL as a home to unique and diverse biodiversity.
 
On the other hand, the Regional Strategic Communication and Initiatives Group emphasized the critical role of the youth on environmental protection and climate action.
 
The more than 950-hectare Roosevelt Protected Landscape is a legislated protected area under the Expanded National Integrated Protected Area System (ENIPAS) law of 2018. (-30-)
