Smiles broke out as Environment Secretary Gina Lopez, while planting a “Bignay Kalabaw” seedling, urged volunteers from the Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association (BSFAA) to plant and grow trees “in the name of Gross National Happiness.” Lopez led the launch of BSFAA’s  “Marathon Tree Planting, Tree Growing”  held Wednesday at the UP Arboretum in Quezon City. The project commits BSFAA’s 15,000 active members, through its 50 chapters nationwide, to plant and grow Philippine native trees, on top of the 150,000 trees the group has so far raised in support to the government’s National Greening Program.  Behind Lopez is  BFAA Officer Dr. Rafael Roque. ###
