Officials of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) here conferred in the first New Year’s Call led by Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo.
 
The activity aimed to celebrate the remarkable milestones the DENR achieved in the past year, and likewise envisioned the endeavors the organization would embark on to thrive both in environmental opportunities and challenges.
 
The executive director noted that the New Year’s Call served as a platform to relay the marching orders of Environment Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga to field offices to align their activities accordingly with the Department’s priority programs.
 
The New Year’s Call was then followed by the DENR Region 3 1st Quarter Management Conference, where officials delved much deeper into their accomplishments and strategies to better public service delivery and protection of the region’s environment and natural resources. (-30-)
 
𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐑 πƒπŽππ€π“π„π’ π‚π‡π€πˆπ‘π’ π…πŽπ‘ π’π‚π‡πŽπŽπ‹ 𝐔𝐒𝐄. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) here, through its provincial office in Pampanga, recently donated 50 armchairs to the Department of Education Schools Division Office in Angeles City.
 
DENR Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo noted that this initiative aimed to boost the government’s efforts to support basic education through the provision of improved learning facilities.
 
β€œAside from helping nurture young minds and foster the relationship with other government agencies, this donation shows that the DENR Region 3 is committed to fulfill its goals in terms of forest protection and conservation,” Pablo said.
 
DENR Pampanga Provincial Head Roger Encarnacion reported that the donated chairs to Sto. Rosario Elementary School were crafted from logs that have been confiscated during anti-illegal logging operations in the province. (-30-)

Elementary students from Batang 2nd Integrated School joined the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) here in a mangrove planting activity aimed at preserving and protecting the wetlands of Sasmuan town.
 
The collaborative effort of the DENR here, the Provincial Government of Pampanga and the Municipal Government of Sasmuan led to the planting of 300 mangrove sapling that would not only enhance the biodiversity of coastal communities, but likewise foster a sense of environmental responsibility and stewardship among citizens, especially the youth.
 
Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo stressed the importance of the event in conserving wetlands and mangrove ecosystems, emphasizing their role in coastal protection, carbon sequestration, and providing habitat for diverse marine life.
 
"By planting mangroves, we are investing in the resilience of our coastal areas and contributing to the fight against climate change. This activity is our commitment to preserving our wetlands and securing a sustainable future for our communities," Pablo said.
 
The DENR has committed to monitoring and nurturing the newly planted mangroves to ensure their survival and growth.
 
Ongoing efforts include educational programs to inform communities about the benefits of mangroves and the importance of preserving wetlands for the well-being of both the environment and society. (-30-)
 
𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐑 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 𝐀 π’ππ„π‚πˆπ€π‹ 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓 π“πŽ 𝐏𝐍𝐏. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) here awarded a special patent to the Ramos Station of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Tarlac.
 
Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo, together with Assistant Regional Director for Management Services Laudemir Salac, DENR Tarlac Provincial Head Celia Esteban and Camiling Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer Amalia Fajardo, personally handed the special patent to PNP Ramos Deputy Chief of Police Captain Roderick Linda.
 
The said special patent covers a total land area of 505 square meters which provides an area for the Ramos Municipal Police Station.
 
This activity is part of the 'Handog Titulo' program of the DENR that expedites the issuance of land titles to qualified beneficiaries. (-30-)
 
ZERO WASTE MONTH. Personnel of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) here conducted a cleanup drive, as part of the culminating activity of the Zero Waste Month.
 
With the theme β€œZero Waste in Workplace: Cleaning Up for a Greener Tomorrow,” the activity aimed to promote proper waste segregation at source and reduce waste generation in the workplace.
 
Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo underscored the importance of employee involvement in such initiatives to mitigate climate change. He urged employees to continuously support and join in the succeeding cleanup activities to revitalize local spaces and promote a cleaner, greener environment.
 
This cleanup drive will become DENR’s regular activity every last Friday of every month to prioritize sustainability and play an integral role in shaping a workplace culture that values both productivity and environmental stewardship. (-30-)
