ENR BASIC COURSE. Twenty-seven employees of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) here recently completed their seven-day Basic Course under the Environment and Natural Resources Academy (ENRA) training program.
 
The said training aimed to equip DENR employees with necessary knowledge and skills to perform their mandated duties and responsibilities.
 
As the country’s lead agency in ensuring the effective environmental governance of the Philippines’ environment and natural resources sector, the training centered on forestry, lands, environment, mines and geo-sciences, protected areas and wildlife, air and water management.
 
Fundamental environmental laws, as well as the Department’s programs and priority projects, were also elaborated to provide support to frontline officers in matching timely solutions and decisions to the dilemmas of their clients.
 
The ENRA training program is among the learning interventions of the DENR through its Human Resource Development Service (HRDS) designed to augment knowledge gaps, calibrate understanding of ENR laws, and sharpen the proficiencies of DENR employees to improve their delivery of service to the public.
