The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) here held a mass oath-taking ceremony for 75 personnel from its regional and provincial offices to augment its workforce in fulfilling the organization’s mandates of protecting and managing the country's environment and natural resources.
 
Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo congratulated the appointees and expressed his confidence that the promotion would inspire them to further strive for excellence and do their duties efficiently.
 
"May this momentous event ignite your passion for serving the public and protecting our environment. Serve the people with the best of your capabilities and commit yourself to environmental stewardship and nation building," he said.
 
Pablo underlined the importance of expediting the recruitment, selection and placement process to bolster departmental activities, noting that the fresh perspectives and innovative ideas of these newly hired and promoted individuals would be instrumental in accomplishing organizational goals.
 
Of those who took their oath to office, 61 were newly appointed to government service, while 14 were promoted to higher positions.
 
To date, the DENR here has filled up 52% of its 144 vacant positions. (-30-)
